Reefer Madness In A Final Frenzy

with 12 comments

“In years to come, the attitudes that now prevail towards people that choose cannabis will be as politically incorrect as racism, homophobia or denying women the vote.

Cannabis is one of God’s greatest gifts with which mankind has had a symbiotic relationship since the dawn of time.

The prohibition experiment of the last 80 years has been a disaster. A rational approach will bring enormous benefits to our country, save billions in wasted expenditure, create thousands of new jobs, cut crime and disorder, provide tremendously safe and effective relief to millions in pain and disability.

The time has come to embrace cannabis as the miraculous plant that it is.”

  2. Just one thing that spoils this article,. the fact that you describe cannabis as a gift from God, which has yet to be proven,. other than that i whole heartedly agree with it,. to deny the masses to medicate from one of Mother Earths finest herb is a crime and wrong on every level.

  3. I understand what he means I have 2 younger brothers who have absolutely no concept of racism they are to young to have studied it at school and to innocent to know any different. the next generation of children wont be brought up with the same fears and stigmas our generation has been programmed with i still half expect to see eat a cannabis plant as one of your five a day to spring up on tv one day soon.

  4. we cant reason with arrogant and ignorant fools… only way to combat them is by strength and with each one saying how they are benefited out of use of cannabis.. i am alive here only cause of cannabis.. i had suicidal tendencies few years back due to depression and cannabis helped me combat that suicidal tendencies and depression in those difficult times when alcohol hasn’t helped me a thing but make a hole in pocket in my monthly earnings. Now i am enjoying a much better quality of life thanks to cannabis and it made me realize a lot of things in life and been a source of inspiration also i use it for my medication for my insomnia, appetite and stress.. Hail the holly Cannabis… You guys have a choice.. don’t let society make a choice for you and all other people out there who have to medicated by western medicine which has time proven that its side effect over time is disastrous for the body rather go in for the organic cannabis which is much much safer alternative to those Allopathy(western) medication, tobacco and alcohol… MAY THE TRUTH PREVAIL… and continue your good work Peter Reynolds 🙂 . My country India has the same problem and the those rascals in the media and politics tabooed a plant which is an integral part of Indian culture, I Believe in future where its medicinal properties are realized and recognized in India. All Izz Well 🙂

  5. Cannabis may be known as Gods Gift, but its not a gift from God unless you mean it in a pantheistic way. Cannabis is one of mother natures healers, that has evolved resin on its surface to protect it self from UV rays. It just so happens, this resin has a psychoactive effect. Lets not bring mythical creatures like ‘God’ into this. The very fact there are harmless people being raped in jail for simply possessing this plant matter that ‘God’ gave us, in my opinion, proves there is no celestial dictator after all. Thank Goodness.

    • I’m agnostic myself and certainly don’t believe in an old man in the sky. In fact, I think organised religion is probably one of the greatest forces for evil in the world.

I use ‘God’as a figure of speech. Substitute ‘Mother Nature’ if you prefer.

      • Yes i would prefer Mother Nature, but if your using the word God in a pantheistic way, the same way Hawking and Einstein used the word, then i have no issue what so ever.

  7. Please peter. When will they see sense? When will this plant go to work and save this country? I would nearly beg for them to legalise and explore its many possibilitys. like amagine hemp back in the day and what they made. Amagine todays tech working with it. I yearn for this plant to be made legal. for recreational medicinal and industrial use. i mean why not? ..Good luck and keep on fighting the good fight 🙂

  8. I agree that the weed should be legalized, if only to destroy the black market and regulate things. I think all drugs should be decriminalized but saying pot is a gift from God is nonsense. Everyone knows God prefers Coke and it is the Pope that smokes dope.
