I don’t suppose that this is a man who smokes put for “medcinal” purposes per chance?
Rather like an alcoholic says they drink Scotch, Port, Gin or Brandy for the same reasons.
Sorry Peter, still not convinced. And if it was so sucessful why are the Epilepsy assoociaions, more the point my Neuroligist not prescribed it?
Afterall Clonazepam is a Class A drugh and ge can prescribe it so a Class C drug should be even easier.
Keep blowing maann!
Not a question of running away, just I do not trust the “evidence”. Remember go to work on an egg advertising in the 1960s’ then we had the Salmonella out break in the 1980s together with Cholestral panic and suddenly eggs were bad for you.
Inconsistency, inconsistency, inconsistency.
I know you love your drug, but perhaps you should keep your own “puff the magic dragon” to yourself. As another contributor to your main board said. The Government have made their mind up, and that is now both colours
With the current state of affairs, I think that they have bigger fish to fry than the legalisation you are asking for.
PS Did the Minister ever reply to your letter or petetion?

Ah but you don’t even look at the evidence do you? You simply assume.

You clearly know nothing about the evidence yet you insist on assuming It’s not because you cant “trust” it.
If people, for example in the US, are in wheelchairs saying they’re sick of being labled as criminals for choosing weed over a cocktail of prescription drugs three times harmful and not even as effective, isn’t that enough “evidence” for patients having the right to use this plant as medication without facing JAIL time for relieving their pain.
Why don’t they go for alcohol saving them the trouble of illegal substance use then? Maybe you should take a look into some of the lives which are almost unbearable with pain and agony but with making the choice to use cannabis it least slightly helps them through their pain.
Go ahead and tell them it’s a dangerous drug with no medicinal benefits and they deserve to be in a jail cell. Concluding “anyway we have bigger matters on our hands than the likes of you, tally-ho old chap!”.

To what “state of affairs” do you refer Chris R ???
Perhaps you are referring to the terrible financial straits much of the world is now in.
Well if we stopped wasting money on persecuting and punishing innocent herbalists, there would be BILLIONS saved. Then factor in the enormous revenues that could be diverted into the mainstream economy rather than the criminal under-economy. Now do you see that the “State of Affairs” could be considerably eased my stopping this senseless war on people who choose a natural remedy that was given to us by the creator in Genesis.

Wow, you’re a grade A idiot!
What is it exactly about the peer reviewed evidence which you don’t trust? Or is it just that the evidence doesn’t support your prejudices?
There was absolutely nothing of substance in your entire post! Just meandering nonsense.
Enlighten us as to why the science is wrong and you alone hold the elusive truth.

I would like to dissect your post as i find it very…. humorous.
“I don’t suppose that this is a man who smokes put for “medcinal” purposes per chance?”
Who are you talking about? the guy in the video? If you watched the video you would know that the answer is.. Yes, he does, that’s what the video is about. Watch it again.
“Rather like an alcoholic says they drink Scotch, Port, Gin or Brandy for the same reasons.”
LOL what? Alcohol harms health, it is in fact a poisonous substance and has never been used as a medicine… ever.
“Sorry Peter, still not convinced. And if it was so sucessful why are the Epilepsy assoociaions, more the point my Neuroligist not prescribed it?”
No-one can prescribe it over here, its illegal due to Pharmaceutical companies being unable to profit from it. But the evidence is there, you are right in there being epilepsy associations, it can certainly help with epilepsy better then any other medicine.
“Afterall Clonazepam is a Class A drugh and ge can prescribe it so a Class C drug should be even easier.
I was under the impression that Clonazepam was a benzodiazepine which is not illegal. While Clonazepam can be abused by prescription drug junkies it doesn’t really do alot and is infact harmful…. but you can make money from it so its ok.
“Keep blowing maann!”
“Not a question of running away, just I do not trust the “evidence”. Remember go to work on an egg advertising in the 1960s’ then we had the Salmonella out break in the 1980s together with Cholestral panic and suddenly eggs were bad for you.”
You don’t trust the endless evidence but you trust 1930’s propaganda? that’s interesting. Also are you saying that incorrectly cooked chicken cant kill you? also there’s no such thing as cholesterol? I dont get your point.
“Inconsistency, inconsistency, inconsistency.”
Where, where, where?
“I know you love your drug, but perhaps you should keep your own “puff the magic dragon” to yourself. As another contributor to your main board said. The Government have made their mind up, and that is now both colours”
Once again evidence that you have been influenced by propaganda and the 1980’s grange hill, “just say no” campaign.
Yes someone said the CURRENT government have made their mind up…. but the next one wont, besides with enough public influence, any government can change their mind. Our efforts here will not be pointless.
“With the current state of affairs, I think that they have bigger fish to fry than the legalisation you are asking for.”
As Dan said, if you read the blog in its entirety you will see how legalisation of Cannabis can help with those ‘bigger fish’
“PS Did the Minister ever reply to your letter or petetion?”
And you will find the answer to that question if you read the blog… seriously did you just wonder over here aimlessly and post random words?

Re: Salmonella & Cholesterol from eggs.
People also drown & die of dehydration. Time to ban water, or use it safely?

My favourite statistic:
2009 UK hospital admissions related to cannabis: approx 750
2009 UK hospital admissions related to peanuts: approx 3000
May 1, 2011 at 5:13 pm
Wait how were 750 people admitted to hospital due to cannabis? Did they have a large amount dropped on them or did they choke trying to swallow it to avoid confiscation?
May 1, 2011 at 6:02 pm
Panic attacks I think. Too stoned but it gets written up as a “psychotic epsiode”.
May 1, 2011 at 6:13 pm
Curse those false statistics.

When I was at college someone got sent to hospital from “because of cannabis”. Want to know why? Asthmatic and was smoking several unfiltered weed joints adulterated with lovely legal tobacco, a European thing which I have never fully understood.
