  1. I enjoyed this doc much more than the ‘How drugs Work: Cannabis’ one. Even though James seemed quite naive throughout the film and not willing to question, I still felt that it was ‘pretty’ balanced, unfortunatly they depicted the MMJ scene in Calif. negatively, though showing the need for MMJ in the UK for ME sufferers and other debilitating illnesses (jason did good at pointing that out, no help to james tho lol) helped balance it out. I enjoyed proff nutt being in the Documentary and good things to say. Another thing I liked was the implication in the first half that its better/easier/cheaper to grow your persy rather than buy it on the street, & hopefully it encouraged some smokers to homegrow.

  2. This is an awesome documentary, I highly recommend you to search for the “Inside Marijuana” by National Geographic Channel.. It’s a really great doc also..

  3. As usual the Police came over as Power-tripping Nazi’s and got their cannabis facts wrong again. Part one was OK lets hope part two isn’t a build them up – knock them down job.

The experts are correct as usual – growing your own is a moral & health choice for a lot of us, you’re not funding criminallity & organically grown weed of known strength is safer. Percy growing shouldn’t warrent having you door kicked in by police thugs – that should be reserved for commercial growers, dealers & real criminals.

Auntie was never going to screen a pro cannabis doc’ but if the pair turn out to be balanced & propaganda free I think that is all we can hope for.

What we need now is a televised debate on prime-time TV to really show the pack of lies the government & the tabloids have been feeding the population, that would really kick start an open adult drugs debate we need to have before they sneek in any more laws to persicute drug users.

It’s a shame Question time seems to be stuck in the media obsessed rut of cuts, deficit, job losses etc instead of discussing alternative options for raising tax revenue to pay the defict off and the morally corrupt criminalisation of 1 in 10 of the population that use drugs recreationally without a lot of the problems that they have with alcohol.

For most of us the most damaging effect of drugs use is getting a criminal record for being caught.

  4. Don’t hold your breath guys, the first was OK although, as mentioned above, the young man presenting was somewhat naive and didn’t question very well at all. The second however, may be more what we are used to. I saw an ad. for part two last night and according to this ad. the concentration of part two is dedicated to trafficking and macho coppers running around smashing into peoples homes.
Still, any media interest is good on the whole.
Wouldn’t it be great if the subject was brought up on question time! You never know, maybe one day soon.

  5. I have a sneaking suspicion that part 2 will be an hour of “look what you have done” without linking traffickers and large scale producers with the criminality of the drug.

Still, shan’t hold prejudice before it airs, part 1 was decent
