Good Riddance To The Tabloid Muck Raker

with 22 comments

You live by the sword.  You die by the sword.

Never was disgrace or the end to a career more richly deserved.  When you play the disgusting game of distortion, propaganda and misinformation that newspaper editors do, then you can expect your karma to get you in the end.

Newspaper editors and media owners sustain the oligarchy with their chums in parliament that oppresses the people of Britain, controls the news agenda and promotes its own self-interest.

He won’t be missed by anyone.

  1. Why just NOTW? This has been going on for decades by all of the Tabloids and Nationals.. I knowm trust me I used ot do it for them. Comms interception has been and still is an essential tool to uncover the truth behind the criminal and shady goings on of Politicians, this is why they don;t like it and make such a noise over it.

  2. I notice of course the usual dirty tactics so often employed by Labour of releasing this sotry whil Blair is at the Iraq enquiry.

    What a surprise..NOT!

    • How is it Labour releasing this story David?

I think you’ve got yourself a bit mixed up there.

It’s the Tories releasing it, hoping it will be drowned out by the Iraq Inquiry.

  3. That’s not what it say’s. I am comparing it’s release timing to the so often used tactics of Labour previously.

  5. A Friday announcement when other “politically undesirable” news for the opposition is going on….

Convinient isn’t it, as it means there won’t be as much coverage or analayst interest.

In some countries he’d be shot for what he go up to and in the UK he could still suddenly disappear or apparently “commit suicide” in dubious circumstances.

  6. It would seem to be the usual case of damage limitation regarding the investigation into phone hacking happening in full knowledge of Coulson. I am guessing new evidece has been uncovered proving his involvement in teh illegal phone tapping scandal that has been hush hush lately and the fact this was a friday news release is another indication of Cameron praying some big news happens over this weekend to dilute the focus on this resignation.

The very fact Mr Cameron appointed Coulson into such a high powered position while allegations were being investigated, it would seem to me that Mr Cameron has either terrible judgement which is a scary thought considering his position and or he decided he needed someone that is fully versed in telling lies to be fully qualified enough to be spokesman for the conservative lie machine.

    he won’t be missed..

    • Why anyone should think that some hack who has worked on a scandal sheet like NOTW is suitable as a director of communications for a political party is beyond me.

It seems a bit like hiring a McDonalds burger flipper for a Michelin star restaurant.

      • Yes I agree, We should only accept the very highest standards of lies, bullshit and skulldugery in British politics dammit, not this riff-raff.

  7. The frightening thing is that over 7 Million adults read the Tabloids; most of which belive what is printed absolutely.

Under education (encouraged by the Polticians across the board) has meant that many of the adult population cannot make a rational decision and led directly by the media. Television being the biggest brain-washing device ever created. Before TV was wide-spread so was the BBC Radio. It was not until the late 1960s that Pirate Stations became “ligitimate”. All of course under the control of Nanny State -(of whichever colour that politician may be).

If out education system is deliberately producing school leavers with a reading age of 12, then this would confirm the theory.

    • You will find it is White British childredn that are deliberatley being dumbed down and who are currently at the bottom of the tables. This is deliberate.

      • Yes, agreed David.

There seems to be a major problem with parenting to-day. Too many native English Parents see the school system as a nanny for their children. It has been asserted for a long time that very few small chilren, under the age of seven years, have a bed-time story read to them, instead put in front of a TV.

Increasingly the Schools are having to teach children the very basics which most 5 year olds would have been able to do 60 years ago. The ability for active, social play seems to have fallen. It is equally disturbing that the Government are interefering with the syllabus of infant schools insisting that children from the age of six be provided with sex-education!

Surely that should be the parents decision, not the Local Authority? And what they hell does a six year old need to know about sexual intercourse and conception?

Little wonder we have a teenage pregnancy issue.

At the other extreme you have over pushy parents who are not allowing the children to have a childhood and living their lives through their children.

However, there has long been a complaint to the Government (of both colours) by employers about the quality of school leavers, some of which can barely add up, or construct a sentance. Some of the application letters I used to receive when I ran a department, had so many errors in terms of spelling, grammer and inappropriate vocabulary, it made you wonder what was being taught in school let alone the state of the parents.

Take away the computer wth a spell check, or a calculator or spread-sheet and the average school-leaver is stumped. The problem lies now in the fact that companies are more interested in button pushers, as can be witnessed by advertisements for posts, insisting on certain types of computing software to have been used.

Finally as we all know, if the computer goes down, the entire Call-centre collapses ! We really have reached a stage where the machine is controlling, if not become the human.

      • There is and has been a deliberate agenda to destroy the traditional Family unit and make people dependant on the state, with the state effectivley becoming a parent for years. It is not quite communism or Marxism it is a hybrid taking the worst traits of capitalism and communism together.

Ultimatley it will end up the same, the elite that have it all and the sheep at the bottom being drip fed by them. Education is dangerous thing to such agendas.

      • Two parents last year where granted political asylum in the U.S.A from the Tyranny of the EU “communitarian” agenda because they wanted to home school thier kids. That is how bad it is getting!

  8. In my experience (I’ve got two children) it depends where the school is. The closer to a large city / population zone the more bullshit the children and indeed their parent have to endure. I now live in a far smaller community on the South coast and remember with some great pleasure that upon being shown around the school how the head mistress stated firmly that we(the school) are CofE and ‘make no apology for it.’ She continued by saying the children are British and that they are taught and ruled by British values and integrity. Having previously worked in and around London I found this to be highly refreshing. I remember on one occasion having witnessed children at a certain school in London having to be exposed to a demo outside the school regarding the serving of halal meat in their school. A monstrosity to my mind.

    • Sounds like a great School, we need a LOT more of them. Most people do not even realise it is actually a registered charity that makes up and decides the UK curriculum, now go see what kind of people are behind that Quango and many of their affiliations.

As for Halal meat this disgusting cruel practise is being used in everything from Asda’s, Subway and many other outlets without your knowledge. Yet more evidence of the nonsense regarding “integration” into our customs, cultures and ways.

      January 22, 2011 at 4:21 pm

      • Agreed. If these people want to live in our Country they have to abide by and respect our customs. They would expect the same from natives of Britain if the situation is reversed.

I am sure that if I go to a Country where halal is the norm, their Governments would not direct that there should be traditional English or French butchers in their Country.

England has been to busy pandering to the immigrant population ever since the Race Discrimination Act. Now it has reached the stage where as a native of this Country I AM being discriminated against.

I heard a programme on the Radio about the Halal method of butchering and some man trying to suggest that it was perfectly acceptable. So the animal is stunned and then its throat cut, allowed to bleed to death while some religious prays of the semi-concious carcass.

I hardly see that as a humane way of killing any animal.

    • I experienced something similar when I first moved out of London to Emsworth, near Portsmouth.

I was astounded by the local GP surgery. I could get an appointment the same day, all the doctors spoke intelligible English and were all of Anglo Saxon descent.

Those of you who know me will know that I am definitely not a racist. My oldest and best friend is as black as the ace of spades and I lived with a Pakistani girl for a year. No, it’s nothing to with racism. It was a pleasant experience after London, where British culture has been swamped and submerged by immigration.

This is the subtle difference that politicians cannot deal with. I want Britain to be British. That doesn’t mean that I’m not ready to welcome and live with people of all races and backgrounds but our culture must be respected and preserved.

      • Its so difficult to express this sort of opinion without some bugger shouting racist and pointing fingers though.
I laughed when I saw your mention of the GP’s surgery as again, it strikes such a cord. Its exactly the same here.
I fear that this issue will increase in intensity as time passes though. Whilst often we read it as white folk being too PC its also a very easy hand for any non white to play. Even as I write I’m being very careful to choose my words so that hopefully i won’t have to respond with a ‘no, I’m honestly not racist.’
I remember on one occasion whilst running a ad sales call centre i had a young girl who made personal calls in her mother tongue. Urdu, i think. Anyway.. my publisher was on a crusade against personal calls so, i quietly took the young lady aside and said ‘Mate, you know you can only make sales calls in English..well, every time you embark on a call in Urdu you might as well hoist a flag and tell everyone your on a personal call. Help me to help you by making your calls in English if you have to.
The following day her and another Indian girl pulled me aside and told me that if it had been anyone else who had said it to her it would have been really racist. As you would imagine was horrified. The fact was that these two knew me well, and knew full well that my intension was actually to protect the girl rather than cause offence yet, the little buggers still felt the need to give me their warning.
        Its a very rocky path.
