Boris Johnson Dirty Tricks Against Ken Livingstone

Boris Gets It Wrong, Wrong, Wrong

Boris must be worried about Ken.  In a snide, nasty and Soviet-style move, Boris’ team has enlisted a herd of tame bloggers to campaign against Ken’s assignment with Press TV.

Now of course, Press TV has very dodgy antecedents.  It’s backed by the Iranian government and very probably subject to a degree of control by Allahshandjob and his theocratic Nazis.  Inevitably the Zionists are up in arms, manipulating, bullying, bribing and coercing their friends into a disgraceful smear campaign against Ken.  It’s really a battle of one Nazi ideology against another.  I’m very surprised and deeply disappointed to see Boris getting involved.

It’s worth reading Press TV’s perspective on the issue in “Britain trying to halt Press TV”.’

The Mayor Of London’s office flatly refused to comment on this story.  In fact they couldn’t put the phone down on me quickly enough.  I can tell you though, with absolute certainty, that specific instructions went out from Boris’ office to round up his sheeple and get them all writing the same story – particularly to link the phrase “holocaust deniers” to Ken’s name as often as possible.

Any reasonable person condemns both the Iranian and Zionist regimes.  They are both a force for evil and a threat to world peace.  We should be encouraging their involvment in the media though, in the ebb and flow of news and information.  That is the way towards a more honest, inclusive and peaceful world.  The British media is often biased but we would be outraged if any part of it was subject to such a campaign of smear, innuendo and attempted gagging.  This is a repressive, anti-democratic campaign.  Boris should stop it immediately.  It’s a mistake.

Journalists work for Fox News all the time and there’s no more despicable news organisation.  Left and right wingers write for the Daily Mail every day, despite its legendary bias, misinformation and scandalmongering.  Andrew Gilligan has worked for Press TV.  Why shouldn’t Ken?

Probably the worst mistake I’ve ever seen Boris make.  This sort of behaviour is beneath him and entirely unnecessary.

    • Let’s be honest, you may as well have sex offenders and drug dealers as politicians..you wouldn’t tell the difference.

Th eone thing that ALL fail to do of course is represent the wishes and interests of the MAJORITY British people who elect them.

    • Oh? So what about Andrew Gilligan? He was working for Press TV as recently as May 2010. Then there’s the disgraced former Tory MP, Derek Conway who still works for Press TV. Or there’s Nick Ferrari, who stopped working for them recently.

      • I say the more people from democratic society we have working for Press TV the better.

Alternatively we can treat them just as the Iranian regime would treat them if roles were reversed.

Which is going to be the most effective way of creating democratic change in Iran?

    • “It’s really a battle of one Nazi ideology against another”

On further reading of this matter, I have to agree with that statement.

      • Nazi ideology? Please elaborate.

      • Both the Iranian and Israeli regimes are oppressive, violent and extremist. Israel has some semblance of democracy but the influence of its military and zionist elements outweighs the democratic view of the majority of its people. Gaza is the biggest concentration camp the world has ever seen.

      • The Israeli state is racist and oppressive towards Palestinians. That much it is true. They are also a heavily militarised state but I wouldn’t go as far as to describe them as “Nazi”. Ze’ev Jabotinsky (who founded the Zionist Revisionist movement that was the direct precursor of Likud) was certainly an open admirer of Mussolini and their ideas on national identity seem to be inspired in part by the Italian fascists – who weren’t originally a racist/anti-Semitic party until their contact with Hitler. Some Italian Jews were members of the party. I agree Israel barely scrapes in as a democracy.

      • I think you just convinced me that any doubts I had about describing the Israeli regime as Nazi were unnecessary!

  4. I must confess to a sneaky admiration for Boris – and Ken

[Even if I don’t agree with their policies, I like a politician with a bit of character, a strong personality, and a willingness to speak their mind even if it conflicts with the official party line]

If what you attribute to Boris is true then I share your sense of disappointment in the man

    • As usual Duncan, I couldn’t agree with you more.

In fact, I think the only thing we disagree on is the prevalence of Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani, Dewani……….

  5. Thanks for this post Peter, although a Labour member, i was deeply disappointed by Ken taking up any work with the Iranian State. He wasn’t my preferred candidate anyway, but thats by-the-by.
It seems that Boris believes that two wrongs make a right. Maybe he should learn from Ham-Face Cameron, and realise that “too many tweets make a twat”?

    • Doc, I think to say that Ken is taking up work “with the Iranian state” is a googly that only a “democratic socialist” spindoctor could come up with. You could equally well say the same about anyone working for the BBC and the UK state.

If more democratic journalists and commentators were to work for Press TV who knows what could be achieved?

  6. Peter, I have to say that the relationship between Press TV and the Iranian State is very different to that between the BBC and the British State. Iran is not a free society, and journalists are certainly less free to follow stories that do not suit the ruling clique.
You have a point with the idea that democratic journalists could create a dialogue from within, but I would question their opportunity and power in this case.
Incidentally, I visited CYBERBORISjohnson today, and witnessed at first hand what you are writing about here…
Angelnstar should feel ashamed of herself – I thought she was better than that…

  7. It is so depressing to see how the weak and feeble can be turned against truth and decency at the promise or even hint of getting closer to their hero.

Angela, at CYBERBORISjohnson, and I have been friends for about two years but she has has now barred me from her blog for disagreeing with her over this story. Over Christmas she pleaded with me for help over a technical issue and I was happy to help. What a pity that loyalty dies so quickly just through open debate. Ah, but that’s the problem isn’t it, Angela doesn’t want open debate. She wants to control and censor and ban, even prevent free British people from contributing to the Iranian media.

Perhaps it’s Angela who’s giving Allahshandjob his relief? She could do with a little herself. She is so stressed out by all of this:
